Friday
Now in its 22nd year, 95bFM’s Fancy New Band showcase is heading back to The Tuning Fork, Friday 31 July 2026.
Every Friday on Morning Glory, we invite the best emerging artists from across Aotearoa to perform live in the 95bFM studio, and once a year, we take a few of those artists to The Tuning Fork for our annual Fancy New Band showcase.
95bFM has a long history of breaking emerging artists, with many acts from our Fancy New Band showcases getting booked nationally and internationally, as well as going on to become household names you know and love, including Fazerdaze, The Naked and Famous, Tiny Ruins, Kidz In Space, and Tom Lark, to name just a few.
This year, we look forward to introducing you to the following acts:
Crook
Evie Bamford
The Bright Ideas
Top Shelf
Please note that there are no presale tickets for this showcase, but tickets will be available at the door in three different tiers: $10.00 (unwaged), $20.00 (waged), and the option to spend $21.00+ as a donation to the station to help us keep the lights on as we build a new station and move to Karangahape Road. Your donation will enable us to keep supporting fancy new bands and turning them into fancy household names!
