FEATURING: OPENSIDE / ABDUL KAY / ALTERED BLONDES / FOLEY
All ages live music event Seamless returns for its fifth instalment at the Tuning Fork on October 28 with yet another diverse line up featuring power-pop favourites Openside, rapper Abdul Kay, alternative rockers Altered Blondes and new kids on the block, Foley.
Openside burst back onto the scene with single ‘I Feel Nothing’, an infectious masterclass in radiant pop that has fast become a radio smash, sitting comfortably in the NZ top 20 for over six weeks. It’s featured on countless Spotify playlists as well as being written up in the US by Alternative Press while in local media The Wireless called out that If this song is any indication of what the band have in store, then they belong up there with the Twenty One Pilots and Halseys of the world. One of the best live acts in town are welcomed back to the Seamless stage they graced just over a year ago, bringing their latest and greatest lyrical sass and dynamic hooks.
After being hand-picked by David Dallas to feature in the infamous Red Bull Studios 64 Bar series, 20 year old Auckland rapper Abdul Kay has raised a lot of eyebrows in the hip hop scene as the unheard talent clocked over 140k plays with his bold and ambitious debut single ‘Right Now.’ Laced with confident flows and sharp rhymes, Abdul is not one to miss as he brings his energetic live show to an all ages stage for the very first time.
Auckland teen trio Altered Blondes have carved out a name for themselves playing top notch live shows over the last year and a half and solidified their place in the alternative rock scene with their eagerly-anticipated single ‘No Thought.’ It’s a song addressing the fantasy of running away from your thoughts and Altered Blondes promise to bring a guitar riff packed party to the stage.
Brand new pop act Foley are set to debut at Seamless #5. After years of fronting separate indie bands, the duo came together to put their own spin on the pop genre. Entirely collaborative with everything written and produced with 50/50 input from the pair, Foley have let us have a sneak preview of their deeply rhythmic tracks rooted in funk and classic pop sensibilities and we cannot wait to see them on stage. Don’t miss your chance to be the first to catch them live!
Limited capacity means Seamless vol.5 is a hot ticket for October. Previous Seamless events headlined by MAALA and Drax Project were sell-outs and the event has a growing reputation as the place to see the best new acts on the rise, so come on down!
All ages welcome + the bar will be open to over 18s.
